Learn about period poverty, raise awareness, and provide support!
First and foremost,

Thank you. Your gift of time today will support women suffering through period poverty. WeHero teams up with companies like yours to provide hygiene supplies for those in need, one corporate volunteer event at a time. After hearing an educational keynote about the real need for period supplies we will put together packs for those struggling to decide between buying food or tampons.
You are now part of this movement, so thank you!
Instructions
We work to keep things as simple as possible. If you have any questions, please get in touch with your event coordinator or reach out to “Kai” (WeHero Super Dog) in the lower-right corner of this page.
Step 1: Decorate the bag
Use the sharpies provided to decorate the bags with pictures, quotes, and your signature – anything that’s fun and makes the packs look different and special. We can’t wait to see what you create!
Note: Sharpies and other markers will bleed through the drawstring bag, so when using them, please put a couple of sheets of paper inside the bag to avoid unwanted stains.
Step 2: Add all the items to each bag
You will be making three packs for this experience—the inventory below lists the quantity of each item in the drawstring bags provided.

Step 3: Letter writing
One of the most important touches to the packs. The individuals who receive these packs are struggling in poverty and may have limited support. Without motivation, it’s easy to give up. Inspire them. Use the WeHero stationary to write them a short letter. It’s very impactful to know that someone is thinking about you.

Step 4: Re-box and apply the shipping label
Using the original box everything came in, add the completed kits and reseal. Attach the prepaid shipping label and schedule your USPS pickup. You can also drop your box off at your local post office. To schedule your pickup, simply use the following link and follow the steps: www.wehero.co/pick-up/
Note: If the system asks for weight, you can enter 6 pounds and the shipping provider will update the weight automatically.
Step 5: Photo time
Take a photo of yourself with your completed packs and share the experience with your friends and family. Use the opportunity to spread awareness and share this act of kindness. Be sure to tag WeHero when you post on social media!

We build our volunteer events to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Whether it is offsetting the carbon emissions of the shipping process, using recycled cardboard for the boxes, or relying on algae based dyes, we’ve made conscious steps to ensure we’re doing right for our world.

We have partnered with Cool Effect on The Mare Chicose landfill project in Mauritius to reduce methane emissions, generate electricity, create jobs, and promote sustainable development. Investing in the project helps reduce our carbon footprint and support global climate change mitigation.
